The Windermere Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman involved in an FBI impersonation scam that targeted an 82-year-old resident on Oct. 13.Police said callers posing as FBI agents convinced the victim they were investigating bank fraud and arranged for a woman posing as an FBI courier to collect a shoebox containing $18,400 from the victim’s home. The woman arrived and left in a silver Toyota.“These criminals use fear and the appearance of authority to take advantage of people,” Police Chief David Ogden said. “Please talk with your loved ones about these scams. If someone claiming to represent law enforcement asks you to withdraw money and hand it to a courier, stop and contact your local Police Department.”Anyone with information about the woman or the vehicle is asked to contact Sgt.
